Bulletin #1: Co-op Changes & Refunds

This is the first of several emails concerning coming changes for the Coloma-Lotus Propane Co-op. If you wish to keep Co-op pricing, be sure to read this email as well as future ones so you don’t miss key action items. ALL MEMBERS: Our contract with AmeriGas is up shortly. Unfortunately our new contract is not yet finalized; I can’t share details yet, but know I’m working hard on it. Until then, I suggest all members with leased tanks do the following:
Change your account to will-call.
Do not order propane unless necessary.
Stay tuned for next steps - there’s a method to my madness :-).
MEMBERS WITH BILLING ISSUES AmeriGas management has finally dedicated resources to resolve the many open Co-op issues that have been reported in recent months. Many of you have recently been contacted and credited accordingly.
If you have unresolved billing issues, expect a resolution from AmeriGas by this week.
If you have a billing issue you have not yet reported via email, do that now.
All billing issues must be addressed through email.
Do not call AmeriGas with billing issues; the phone team is not privy to our contract terms and will not be able to assist.
Email CustomerCare@amerigas.com AND cc: clpropane@gmail.com re: your issue.
Be sure to include “Coloma-Lotus” in the subject.
PRICING
Check your bills to make sure you’re being billed correctly!
If you’ve paid more than our negotiated rate / fees, dispute your bill via email.
For reference, note that Co-op pricing has ranged from ~$2.60 in January to $2.15 mid April. Current Co-op rates are $1.69 Res / $1.60 Bus / $2.08 F&F.
Fees should be waived for Business & Residential members (hazmat, delivery, will-call, most tank rentals fees.)

AUDIT
Audit details will be released once the new contract is finalized.
Most members had at least some type of billing error, so be sure to check your bills!
